Our large huts are equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable, and also make use of the outside space. We’ve tried to provide everything so you just need to bring yourselves, but please do ask if anything is missing or there is anything else you need.
If you are arriving past 7pm, our team will issue you a self-check in email with details on how to find your accommodation. Your key will be left in your hut which can be located using our accommodation map and What3Words;

All taps in the huts and around the farmyard provide safe drinking water so we encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle.
In your hut you'll find breakfast tea and freshly ground coffee, along with a traditional kettle to boil on the stove. Please ask for fresh milk (dairy or oat) from the Linhay.
Inside you will find a gas stove, both are easy to use and ideal for basic cooking. All crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided. You will find utensils stored underneath the sink. You also have a mini fridge, please bring another cool box if you'd like store a lot.

There is a small sink, with environmentally friendly washing up liquid and sponges. If you order one of our supper hampers, please don't wash up, we'll collect the basket in the morning.
For evenings stargazing! Complimentary marshmallows are in your hut and wood, matches and firelighters are found beneath the hut. Extra wood should you need it is stored behind the office in the courtyard (an honest charge of £5 per extra bucket).
The ensuite hot shower and loo are inside the hut, and make the most of the view with your outside bath or shower. Your hut has an outside Bath for you to enjoy. Towels and robes are provided. We also provide gorgeous natural products by VERDEN, in full size bottles for you to use and enjoy during your stay.
All of our huts and cabins are designed with year round use in mind. The hut has a 75mm insulated cavity throughout, and Earthwool insulation. This is a breathable carbon-neutral material made from 80% recycled bottles. With heating, Romney Marsh Wool blankets and hot water bottles, we’re sure you will be warm and cosy, even on the chilliest of nights.
Please remove muddy boots before entering. Boot brushes are on the steps, and they will stay dry under shelter outside of the hut. There are hooks to dry out wet clothes. If you get soaked in a rain shower please do ask our team to dry out clothes for you.
There is plenty of storage space under the bed for bags and boots.
A unique aspect of Elmley is that we are off grid, so generate our own electricity. The huts have electricity, but please be mindful of excessive use.
4G can be picked up across the reserve, but we do recommend you switch off and soak up the nature around you.
If you need wi-fi it can be accessed from the Linhay if required.
The large shepherd's huts can sleep two young children up to ages of 8, using a fold out bed or the favourite - the hammock swinging over the kingsize bed. The additional bed is by the partition, opposite the sink, and folds open. Please note additional bedding for children will be left under the kingsize bed for you to set up when you ready.
Travel cots for babies can be provided upon request.
Please note as they are shepherd's hut floor space is limited and beds and cots will need to be folded away in the day.
